Why does no one want to go fac dance?! Come! It's hard to be enthu about it if A. you are the only one from your class left after 15mins B. Doing the couple dance parts alone =___='''

Have everyone learnt the whole dance? If not go youtube and take a look =D

I didn't draw that, it was Anne and Xiu Yi...
But it does give an interesting idea for the banner ;)

Anyway, what's the outcome of today's discussion? I didn't quite catch it... What are we doing for the stall? [*********] (No divulging confidential information! *Moderator)

Had huang cheng again this morning, how's everyone's CCA? Huang cheng is bussssy... but really fun. And as I was saying on msn to huang pei, we can make this a class outing. Eat then go see huang pei's art *lmao*

Opposite day... huh? And I would rather play badminton on tuesday again, (the shuttlecock day! And mine were pretty much dead from last week) since there probably will be fac dance later in the afternoon (And people, COME for fac dance, I bet some of you don't even know the whole dance) Please attend the dance sessions! I even went and learn other fac dance *lmao* Seriously Atermis fac dance is really easy!

Well, if wednesday is the short form day, I will A. Not speak and B. Not understand anything said.

Hum, my friend's class blog have everyone signing in with their own account. I suppose that can be discussed on Monday? (they are guessing which user is which, kinda of amusing)

P.S Anyone want photos? I have ones of yesterday's CT session and last Tuesday's badminton thing. (Has yet to figure out the advanced piece of technology that's my camera)

For those who want to know about how our fac has been doing preparing for Dramafeste, here is an update. Artemis' first LT3 rehearsal for Dramafeste took place on Thursday. Our script is basically about people dying, as suggested by the title Drawing Death. I can't reveal too much, but the lines sort of funny. Just give our cast and crew a bit more time, and they will do Artemis proud.

The only major problem we faced was the limited resources available to us. If you don't know, the sound crew work in the crammed space under the AV console (where the lecturer usually stands), with absolutely no control over the volume, except through the laptop/ipod/mp3 player they are operating. As for the lights crew, half the light panel isn't working and we have very limited control over which parts of the stage we light up. Don't worry, this is a problem that all 4 facs face, and it depends on who comes up with the best solution (we already have one, and are trying hard to improve it).

Dramafeste aside, I think we can liven up this place by posting jokes. We can share them with the seniors so that everyone can destress. So I will start with a few from my field of interest.

An airline stewardess was giving the standard safety briefing to the passengers. She had just finished saying 'In the event of a water landing, your seat cushion may be used as a flotation device,' when a man remarked, "Hey! If the plane can't fly, why should I believe the seat can float?"

BOAC: Heathrow Centre, British Airways Speedbird Flight 723
HC: British Airways Speedbird Flight 723, Heathrow Centre, go ahead
BOAC: Heathrow Centre, British Airways Speedbird Flight 723 has a message for you
HC: British Airways Speedbird Flight 723, Heathrow Centre is ready to copy message
BOAC: Heathrow Centre, British Airways Speedbird Flight 723, message is as follows: Mayday, Mayday, Mayday ....

Approach: 33W confirm you have hotel (the letter code of the current terminal information on broadcast for pilots).
33W: Uhhhmm, we're flying into McCarren International. Uhhhmm, we don't have a hotel room yet.
Approach control was laughing too hard to respond. The next several calls went like this:
Approach: United 5, descend to FL220.
United 5: United 5 desending to FL220; we don't have a hotel room either.

Cessna: "Jones tower, Cessna 12345, student pilot, I am out of fuel."
Tower: "Roger Cessna 12345, reduce airspeed to best glide!! Do you have the airfield in sight?!?!!"
Cessna: "Uh...tower, I am on the south parking ramp; I just want to know where the fuel truck is."

Some information on the blogging competition! Blogspot is the suggested host or something (wasn't really listening since we already created the blog) so we'll have no problems. What needs to be done now is to get everyone participating! Seniors teachers and our non-existent juniors! A tag board should also be included within the new design for more interactivity.

To answer Yi Tyan's question, scroll all the way to the bottom of the blog and you'll see the "Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)" link. If you took up my suggestion and are using Google Desktop, simply copy the link location and paste it into the GD's Web Clips thing (under Options). GD's web clips will automatically be updated frequently so you'll be informed of any new posts. Much cooler then EMB.

Also, Mozilla Firefox has the subscription button beside the URL bar also. I haven't used it before since I have GD but you all can give it a try. If you use IE and have no GD, I cannot help you because I haven't used IE in a long long time. But I can give u a suggestion, GET FIREFOX!

our dear seniors decided to treat us on next Sat (3 Feb)... which definitely will be a busy day for us...
1.almost the whole class signed up for the cip project...
2.some of us applied for SRP and there will be a aptitude test that day...
3.+ STJ...

according to our great econs' theory:
the opportunity cost of item 1 will be a big meal or getting enrolled into the prestigious SRP.
the opportunity cost of item 2 will be a big meal or 10 CIP hours (some chances to get familiar with the fac ppl).
the opportunity cost of item 3 will be getting enrolled into the prestigious SRP or 10 CIP hours (some chances to get familiar with the fac ppl).

any idea which one can give me (or us) more benefits?

let's get a final judgement as soon as possible, ok?

btw how many of us have applied for SRP?

Ha, just got home from Huang Cheng (no kidding, I got a shock when I realised it was like almost 10) Tired. Not to mention I got rained on on the way home >.>

Okay, Bo Xuan I get the idea. Just spent the past 4 hours or so on the tool cupboard for Huang Cheng and added a few more sploches to my already very wonderfully colourful NY skirt, I suppose that would qualify as "artistically inclined". But the template will probably have to wait since I think the CNY stuff are more important and urgent at the moment... like the banner. Anne said 06S6K got 3rd for banner last year... argh, stress. I gathered they painted dogs on the banner.

That was the year of the Dog. So, I guess it will be pigs this year...

But, unfortunately, I can't draw pigs for nuts. Real, cartoon, stick figure or otherwise. So if you all have any idea or pictures you are welcomed to tell me. (can I ask all able-bodied people to draw/think of something over the weekend?) And Xing Kai is banned from touching the banner design form, but is still welcomed to give ideas. I will hopefully come up with something over the weekend. Eh, I still have Huang Cheng tomorrow O___O And also try to think of some meaningful suggestions for the CNY stall, you DO want to have fun AND boost your class fund right. Your treasurer would be EXTREMELY happy to see an exponential increase in the class fund *lmao* I mean you will still need time to fine tune the idea and prepare for the stall itself so a solid idea would need to be put forward soon.

Meep, that's all for now. Going off to shower. May come back later to post some photos. (after I figure out how to work the new camera)

P.S how do you subscribe to Atom feed?

Hi people. Apparently we will need to prepare a performance for Total Defence Day so we will discuss this tomorrow. Also a more unique template should be created for this blog since it looks terribly plain right now. I hope the more artistically inclined people in our class will rise to the challenge and design something super cool (like S.T.P.)!

The posting rights to this blog shall be given to everyone soon. I'll give everyone the password and the person with the best ability to blog shall take over as blog in charge. Evidently, I'll face tremendous difficulties if I ever attempt to compose a blog post over 500 words in length. Especially on a normal, normal day like this. So anyway we'll discuss about this sometime! See you!

Bo Xuan

P.S. Please remember to check out this blog frequently like the EMB since it should soon become our online class bench. Alternatively, you can subscribe to the Atom feed (it's super useful) like I already have. Use something really geeky like Google Desktop for constant updates for sites which offer Atom or RSS feeds.
